Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao have finalized an updated agreement for a boxing match scheduled on September 25 in Las Vegas.
According to Jas Mathur, CEO of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, the two sides reached a deal on Friday for the anticipated bout at T-Mobile Arena, which will be streamed live on Netflix.
The original plan was to hold the fight on September 19 at The Sphere in Las Vegas, but that fell through because the rock band The Eagles has a performance booked at the venue as part of their residency.
Mayweather could have a packed schedule, as he also has exhibition bouts lined up against Mike Tyson and Greek kickboxer Mike Zambidis. The Tyson fight currently has no set date or location, while the Zambidis bout is scheduled for June 27 in Athens, Greece.
The 49-year-old Mayweather and the 47-year-old Pacquiao first fought in 2015 after years of buildup, with Mayweather winning by unanimous decision. That event became the highest-grossing boxing match in history.
Pacquiao, the only eight-division world champion in boxing history, retired in September 2021 but came out of retirement last year for a WBC welterweight title fight against Mario Barrios, which ended in a majority draw.
Mayweather, who holds a perfect 50-0 career record and has won 15 world titles, has not fought competitively since his controversial match against UFC legend Conor McGregor in August 2017.
