In the second day of the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament (May 11, Ryogoku Kokugikan), Enoh, ranked West Juryo 14 and returning to the second division after an 18-tournament absence due to a serious neck injury, earned his second consecutive victory. He was forced back by Shiraidake’s initial charge but held his ground, stepped into his opponent’s embrace, switched body position, and drove him out.

“I never give up until the match is decided,” he said, radiating a sense of fulfillment. When asked why his new purple mawashi (sumo belt) was that color, he revealed it was inspired by former lightweight champion Maenoshin Kageyama, who also wore a similar shade during his active days. “I saw him wearing it back then, and always wanted to wear one myself someday.”
